The Cricket's Corner Story
In 1986 our family purchased the Ogunquit Camera Shop. In 1987 we started Cricket’s Corner Toys in a small corner of the Ogunquit Camera Shop. Being so close to the beach, we started to carry some toys and games, a selection of boogie boards and beach toys, and a few kites. When the digital camera was introduced and cell phone cameras evolved, there was less of a need for a brick and mortar camera stores.
With this change, we decided to focus on having fun and selling toys and beach gear! We changed our name to 'Cricket’s Corner Beach & Toys' in 2018 and the rest is history. We carry boogie boards, skim boards, towels, beach carts, beach toys, shovels, coolers, floats, flip flops, balls, hats, toys, games, plush, kites, puzzles, stickers, jewelry, gifts, souvenirs, ornaments and so much more!
Our kite selection is the largest in the area. We have diamond kites, delta kites, box kites, parafoil kites, sled kites, large designer kites, 2 line stunt kites, kite line, kite accessories, and kite parts. Come on in and 'Go Fly A Kite!'
We still have a small photo nook with batteries, memory cards, and even film. For quick digital printing we have the Mitsubishi Kiosk that can print from wallet size pictures up to 8x12's in just minutes. We also do Passport pictures while you wait!
